What X-ray tube power (kV/mA) do your machines use?

We offer systems with a range of X-ray tube specifications:

Standard models (FSX-T160): 160kV / 5mA
High-power models (FSX-T225): 225kV / 3mA
Ultra-high power models (FSX-T450): 450kV / 3mA (for thick steel castings)
Micro-focus systems: 225kV / 2mA with 5-micron focal spot

Higher kV = deeper penetration. Higher mA = shorter exposure time. Our engineers will recommend the optimal specification based on your part materials and wall thicknesses.

What is the image resolution and magnification of your systems?

Our systems offer industry-leading image quality:

Geometric magnification: Up to 2-5x for standard systems, up to 20-30x for micro-focus systems
Spatial resolution: Down to 50 micrometers (0.05mm) with flat panel detectors
Pixel size: 50-139 micrometers depending on detector model
Software magnification: Up to 32x digital zoom with image enhancement tools

Higher magnification allows detection of smaller defects, but requires appropriate part geometry. Contact us to discuss your minimum detectable defect size requirements.

What is the maximum wall thickness your X-ray machines can penetrate?

Penetration capability depends on both the machine model and material type:

Aluminum alloys: Up to 60-80mm with our standard models, up to 150mm+ with high-power models
Magnesium alloys: Similar to aluminum
Zinc alloys: Up to 30-40mm (higher density)
Steel/iron: Up to 15-25mm (high density)

For a specific material and thickness, please provide details and we can confirm whether our equipment is suitable or recommend a higher-power model.
